I started writing about restaurants at the worst of all times, in 2020, as a reaction to my grief at the closure of all restaurants, bars, pubs and anything else fun. In those bleak days all I had was the nostalgic memory of the joys of eating out. When you step into The Megaro Hotel in King’s Cross, you’ll quickly realise it’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a living, breathing work of art.
